Across the sea, on a journey of the mind A journey made to find, each other and themselves. Across the world, leaving family and friends, With a bundle of loose ends, for tying. And days flew by, new cities came and went, Yet another week was spent, before they knew that it was gone. Before too long, they started missing home, To continue still to roam, seemed foreign. Each place is starting to blur into the next now, Yeah each place is starting to blur into the next now. Now the feeling’s gone and they know that something’s wrong Yeah the feeling’s gone but they’re moving right along. And the feeling’s gone and they don’t know what they’re running away from. Each day is starting to blur into to the next now. Yeah each day is starting to blur into the next now. And the feeling’s gone and they don’t know why they came, Yeah the feeling’s gone and it all just looks the same They’ve got a feeling … a feeling that it’s time to come home again Across the sea, on a journey of the mind, On a journey made to find, those pleasures found at home. Across the world, seeking family and friends, And a new set of loose ends, for tying. And in the end, whether east or whether west they say home is truly best, when you’re searching for yourself. They say, all roads, will lead you on to Rome, But they also lead back home, if you let them.

Tell us how the world should be, Show us what we cannot see. I'm sure there's an easy solution, A way to cut through the confusion. Pin your colours to the mast, Fight for truth until the last. Coz no one knows better than you do And no one else has a clue. There's nothing left for us to choose. We'll disregard those other views. The world is simpler than we ever knew, So tell us what we need to do. Every story has two sides, But only one of them provides ... A way to cut through the delusion, (That) there's more than just one conclusion. Leave your questions at the door, (With) what you thought you knew before. Coz no one knows better than we do, And/Yeah no one else has a clue. There's nothing left for us to choose. We'll disregard those other views. The world is simpler than we ever knew, So tell us what we need to do. Tell us, we really ought to know Tell us, you're helping us to grow. Tell us, why we shouldn’t just believe what we heard, Tell us, we're hanging on every word. Tell us, tell us, we're waiting on you, Tell us, what should we be doing? Tell us, we're jealous of all you know, Tell us, exactly where to go. There's nothing left for us to choose. We'll disregard those other views. The world is simpler than we ever knew, So tell us what we need to do.

I'm walking, eyes toward the pavement. The cold night, nipping at my face. Faster, I'm bumping into strangers now, I'm running, take me from this place. And I, will watch the world pass by. And I, will walk across the sky. I'm hiding, hidden from the street light. Silence, the sound of searching feet. I'm waiting, breath held lest I smoke the air. My heart runs, (and) thumps out a nervous beat. And I, will watch the world pass by. And I, will walk across the sky. Yeah I, will watch the world pass by. And I, will walk across the sky.

Gotta keep myself busy, so everything don’t fall apart Gotta keep myself moving, even if I’m moving back to the start. Coz if I ain't got nothing, nothing in my head, My mind gets messy, wandering instead. If I ain't got nothing, nothing else will keep the thoughts at bay Because we’re scared of what’s ahead of us, We run from what’s behind. It all comes down, eventually, To a well distracted mind. Gotta keep myself busy, please put something in my hands. Gotta keep my mind free of, all these feelings I don't understand. Coz when I ain’t got nothing, nothing left to do, My mind gets hazy, it's hard to push through. When I ain't got nothing, nothing else will keep the thoughts at bay. Because we’re scared of what’s ahead of us, We run from what’s behind. It all comes down, eventually, To a well distracted mind. Yes we’re scared of what’s ahead of us, We run from what’s behind. It all comes down, eventually, To a well distracted mind.

Silent Lies 04:53
There’s a path laid out, A road that we took; take one final look (at) The winding road behind, A path that we made and a course we stayed. Focus on what’s ahead, Take your eyes off your feet; the world’s yours to meet. Look right through the bend, Keep your hands on the wheel and just Take me somewhere Take me somewhere Keep me from her, just Take me somewhere She’s got eyes of silent lies, A mind like a maze and a smile on her face. She’s got eyes that can’t disguise, The pain that’s behind and a sadness inside, She’s got words you’ve never heard, On the tip of her tongue, but they never come. She’s got words to say she hurts, Words you won’t hear ‘less you ... Listen to her Listen to her She has the answers, just Listen to her Stare into the sun, As it falls from the sky, a drawn-out goodbye. And the world fades out of view, Another moment is gone, till the next comes along.** Try to at least pretend, That she didn’t know, exactly how it would go. Try to convince yourself, That you did all you could, that you … Listened to her Listened to her, Heard what she said when you Listened to her. She’s got eyes of silent lies, A mind like a maze and a smile on her face. And she’s got eyes that can’t disguise, The pain that’s behind, a sadness inside, She’s got words you’ve never heard, (On) the tip of her tongue, but they never come. She’s got words to say she hurts, Words you won’t hear ‘less you ... Listen to her Listen to her She has the answers, just Listen to her.
